How did you meet? We actually met at a bar and introduced ourselves with ridiculous fake names! Being able to joke around and always make each other smile is still a huge part of our relationship today!

How did he put a ring on it? He proposed on a hike in Lake Tahoe. It’s where he grew up taking family vacations!

Where did you draw inspiration from? We were definitely inspired by the colors of the beautiful cliffside villages of Positano. Getting married somewhere so naturally beautiful made it easy to keep everything else simple!

What made the wedding personal to you? We actually originally had a large wedding planned in New Jersey with all of our family and friends. 6 months before it, we decided that it didn’t feel true to how we imagined our day. We cancelled those plans and shifted to the small Italian wedding that we had with just our immediate family and wedding party. Having our closest people travel halfway around the world to celebrate our love was really all we needed to make it personal. We didn’t bring any decorations, didn’t have a wedding cake and my friend DIYed the flowers!

What were you most nervous or excited about? I was both nervous and excited about planning a wedding somewhere we’ve never been before! We didn’t see our venue until the day before the wedding but everything was even more perfect than we could have imagined.

Tell us about your dress? You probably wouldn’t believe it based on how perfect Farrow looked in Positano, but I actually got it well before we knew we’d be tying the knot in Italy. I had seen the dress online but when I went shopping that day, I actually had my eyes on another dress (and no plans of actually committing during that shopping trip). I was shopping with 3 of my girlfriends and we liked all the dresses I tried but when I came out in Farrow all 3 of them were up on their feet (that didn’t happen with any other dress). I’m not sure if it was the dress or my reaction to the dress but I just knew it must be “the one!” I facetimed with my mom and sisters who were across the country to share the moment with them as well!

What stockist did you get it from? Love and Lace Bridal in Irvine, CA

What was your most memorable moment from your day? When my new husband and I arrived at the reception after tying the knot, we walked down the stairs to see our closest family and friends in front of the most incredible backdrop. It was such an overwhelming moment. We were filled with so much gratitude. And we were greeted with a heart-shaped pizza which we did a pizza cutting with!
