Tell Us Your Love Story
How did you meet? In 2014, I was working in the leasing office at my apartment community – where Matt happened to live. He noticed me driving my golf cart around the property and waited a a few months before he made his move. He was persistent, but I was flaky, so it took weeks for us to actually meet up but he eventually lured me in with a Yogurtland date and the rest is history!
How did he put a ring on it? I actually set up my engagement and didn’t even realize it! For Christmas, I made him this really cheesy photo book with pictures of us and our story. I gifted him the little book on Christmas Eve night and the next morning we woke up to SNOW – it was the first white Christmas that Mass has had in 20 years! Laying in bed, we started looking through the book and when we got to the last page, he asked if I was ready for the next chapter and there was the most perfect little ring taped inside.
Where did you draw inspiration from? Honestly, my dress was a huge inspiration for the rest of my wedding theme. I went dress hunting a month after we got engaged and fell in love with the first one I tried on. I knew I wanted a winter wedding after that, with moody color schemes and lots of pinks, reds & metallic tones. When we found our venue (which happens to be our favorite local restaurant) and realized we could get married in their outdoor space, the whole “enchanted garden” vision was born.
What made the wedding personal to you? Our venue has a very east coast vibe, even though it’s practically on the beach. Since Matt is from Massachusetts and I am from California, we felt like it was the perfect compliment to us! A few other special touches like our favorite cake, my mom’s garter from her wedding, and having our fur baby (Lennie) make it into some of the photos helped too.
What were you most nervous or excited about? We were both fairly calm leading up to the wedding and on the day of. I think we both can agree that we were excited to be on our way to Kauai more than anything!
Now, the most important part – the Dress!
Tell us about your dress? Oh my dress… where do I begin! She was the first dress I tried on and I fell in love with her instantly. I found her at a sample sale and she was about 10 sizes too big but I knew she was the one. The funny thing is that going into dress shopping I was very much against lace dresses, let alone a dress that is ALL LACE but like I said, she was beautiful and perfect and my mom, sister and I all cried on the spot when I tried her on so I trusted my gut and I’m so glad I did! I’m just waiting for the day when one of my future daughters can wear her.

What was your most memorable moment from your day? The whole day was like a dream but I will never forget our first look moment and walking down the aisle with my dad. Everything was so amazing!
