Tell Us Your Love Story

How did you meet? We met in elementary school in kindergarten in 2001. We started dating in 8th grade and have been together ever since!

How did he put a ring on it? He surprised me while I was visiting my college roommate and best friend, Anna,  in Philadelphia. I had taken a weekend trip to visit and catch up with her, unknowing that he had made plans with her to propose to me that Saturday, August 4th 2018. She took me to Shofuso Japanese Gardens as our fun activity for the day, and Patrick was standing across the gardens smiling and waiting for me. He proposed to me there and we spent the weekend celebrating in Philadelphia.

Where did you draw inspiration from? My years and years of making pinterest boards, watching Say Yes to the Dress and Four Weddings, and looking at previous eastern shore weddings and receptions.

What made the wedding personal to you? Planning and replanning during the pandemic was a challenge, however it allowed our wedding to be extremely personal

What were you most nervous or excited about? I was most excited to marry the man of my dreams after 10 years of dating and a stressful couple of months leading up to the wedding.

Now, the most important part – the Dress!

Tell us about your dress? I wore the Easton gown from Tara Lauren with an overskirt. It was fitted, lace, with a deep sweetheart neckline. It was bohemian and romantic while also being a little sexy!

What stockist did you get it from? The Bridal Room in McLean, VA

What was your most memorable moment from your day? The most memorable part of the day was when the doors opened to the church and I saw Patrick standing at the end of the aisle with the biggest smile on his face. He was so incredibly handsome in his tuxedo and it was a moment I had dreamed about for so many years. It was truly magical.
