Mayce and Shane’s rustic barn wedding was a beautiful vision of stylish romance.
Mayce captured a chic bridal look in her Isolde gown. Of her Isolde gown, Mayce said: “Tara Lauren’s Isolde gown is truly the most gorgeous gown I could have ever dreamt of. I desperately wanted a wedding gown with capped sleeves and all over lace which is what initially drew me to Isolde. I knew it was the one when I saw the gorgeous detail on the train…the train is definitely my favourite part of the gown!”

Tell Us Your Love Story
How did you meet?
Shane and I had a mutual friend who was always telling Shane to ask me out. Shane eventually sent me a message on Instagram and asked me out on a date and the rest is history.
How did he put a ring on it?
Shane had the perfect excuse to gather our friends and family for a surprise proposal…his birthday! We were at his parents house celebrating his birthday and suddenly, he was on one knee and asking me to marry him. It was a really beautiful moment, made even more special because we were surrounded by our loved ones.
Where did you draw inspiration from?
I drew a lot of my wedding inspiration from Pinterest! Our colour scheme was ivory and sage so a lot of our styling choices were made based on those colours. Our wedding also had a very rustic feel so we wanted the decor to feel cosy and authentic.
What made the wedding personal to you?
I included my grandmother’s rosary into my bridal bouquet which was very sentimental to me. We also had a table set up with framed pictures of mine and Shane’s family members who have sadly passed away. It was really important to us to incorporate our loved ones who couldn’t be with us on the day, and it made our whole wedding feel even more personal.
What were you most nervous or excited about?
I was actually most nervous about crying in front of everyone during the ceremony!
Honestly, the part of my wedding that I was most excited about was getting to marry the man of my dreams.
Now, the most important part – the Dress!
Tell us about your dress?
Tara Lauren’s Isolde gown is truly the most gorgeous gown I could have ever dreamt of. I desperately wanted a wedding gown with capped sleeves and all over lace which is what initially drew me to Isolde. I knew it was my gown when I saw the gorgeous detail on the train…the train is definitely my favourite part of the gown!
What stockist did you get it from?
What was your most memorable moment from your day?
For me, the most memorable part of the day was being surrounded by all of our loved ones and getting to celebrate the love we have for each other. It was really special getting to toast the beginning of the rest of our lives together with all the people who mean the most to us.
