After falling in love while they were at college, Matney and Treanor celebrated their love story with a bright and colourful wedding ceremony.
The brief for Matney’s dream wedding dress was a timeless gown with a modern feel…and she found it in our ISODLE gown. Of her ISODLE gown, Matney said: “My dress was truly everything I had ever envisioned for my wedding day. I wanted it to be simple yet unique. I loved the lace open backing, the buttons up the back, and the slim bodice. It was seriously exactly what I wanted.”

Tell Us Your Love Story
How did you meet?
Treanor and I met in college through mutual friends. I went to CofC in Charleston and he went to USC in Columbia. I came up often for the football experience and the rest is history! He moved to Charleston after his graduation in 2015 and we’ve been there ever since.
How did he put a ring on it?
We were on a family vacation with my parents and my sister in Greece. We were staying at one of the coolest places in Santorini with the most amazing view of the sea. No matter where we are in the world, morning coffee is always a big deal to the both of us, so I had gotten up early to make a pot and went out to the porch for coffee with a view. Treanor came to join me and that’s when he proposed…pajamas and all!
Where did you draw inspiration from?
Prior to the wedding, I wasn’t that big into Pinterest so I think just seeing the venue helped us know what we wanted on our big day. My wedding planner, Jessie Johnson of Willow Event Designs, was also a true visionary and incredibly helpful.
What made the wedding personal to you?
We had the wedding in my hometown where I grew up, and that was definitely really personal. Treanor has spent a lot of time with me in Murrells Inlet as well so the location made our wedding incredibly sentimental to both of us. We had a lot of people from out of town attending and being able to show them the more local side of our relationship was really fun.
What were you most nervous or excited about?
I was quite nervous about the actual walking down the aisle and having everyone look at me!
The most exciting thing for me was having so many of my favorite people all in one place. And of course I was excited about dancing! The dance floor was where I promised myself I would be.
Now, the most important part – the Dress!
Tell us about your dress?
My ISODLE gown was truly everything I had ever envisioned for my wedding day. I wanted it to be simple yet unique. I loved the lace open backing, the buttons up the back, and the slim bodice it gave. It was seriously exactly what I wanted.
What stockist did you get it from?
What was your most memorable moment from your day?
That’s a great question! It was the most fun and best day to date for us, and I mean that sincerely. From the first dance, to the cake cutting, to the wedding party tequila shot, to the epic dance battle on the dance floor, to spending such a fun time with my favorite people in the world… I can’t name just one! The whole day was perfect.
