From childhood sweethearts to husband and wife, Jenna and Matt celebrated their love for each other (and wine) in a stunning vineyard ceremony.
For Jenna and our ASSOULINE gown, it was love at first sight. Of her ASSOULINE gown, Jenna said: “I first saw the gown online and I knew straight away that I had to have it! The romantic look of the lace and the flattering shape was simply perfect.”

Tell Us Your Love Story
How did you meet?
When I was 8 years old, I moved next door to Matt’s best friend, so I met Matt through our neighbour. We pretty much grew up together, living in the same area, and I would see Matt occasionally when he was at my neighbours house. We went through high school as friends and eventually started dating at the age of 21. From then on we’ve travelled the world together, moved to new cities together, and now we’re married and ready to do life together.
How did he put a ring on it?
Matt had just returned from a deployment in Afghanistan for 7 months. We went on a holiday to New Zealand, and on our second day there at the beautiful lake Tekapo, he proposed. He set up the camera to make me think we were taking a photo on self timer, but he actually filmed the whole thing!
Where did you draw inspiration from?
I got most of my inspiration for the wedding from Pinterest. Honestly, I feel like I’m the least creative person and I don’t have much sense of style, so luckily the venue owner is amazing and does a lot of styling herself! I was able to give her a vague idea of what Matt and I wanted for our big day and left the rest up to her.
What made the wedding personal to you?
We had our wedding at a vineyard and we are both very into our wines, so the venue was very well suited to us! We are both very easy going people, and our wedding really reflected our relaxed nature, and the formalities didn’t get in the way of a good time. On the day, we had canapes and drinks in a beautiful outdoor area with swinging chairs, cushions and games, and we were able to spend loads of time with our guests which we are thrilled about! We also had my next door neighbour (Matts best friend’s Mum) as our celebrant. She is the reason we know each other so it was lovely and very personal to have her marry us!
What were you most nervous or excited about?
I was most nervous about the father daughter dance, and mine and Matt’s first dance. I’m a terrible dancer and knowing everyone would be watching me made me feel even more nervous. But on the day I was surprisingly relaxed and all the nerves went away…I just enjoyed every minute.
Now, the most important part – the Dress!
Tell us about your dress?
I first saw the ASSOULINE gown online and I knew straight away that I had to have it! The romantic look of the lace and the flattering shape was simply perfect.
What stockist did you get it from?
What was your most memorable moment from your day?
It’s too hard to pick just one so I have a few memorable moments. The first was walking down the aisle with my dad because he kept telling me jokes so that I wouldn’t look nervous. I also loved when Matt and I exchanged vows, and at the end of the night, I was on the dance floor on Matt’s shoulders and got to see all of our guests having the best time which was incredibly special.
