Destiny & Christian’s Wedding

From a chance meeting at a coffee shop to husband and wife, Destiny and Christian’s wedding was an elegant vision of classic simplicity.

As soon as Destiny tried on the VALERIA gown, she knew it was meant to be. Of her VALERIA gown, Destiny said: “I absolutely loved my dress! The VALERIA gown was actually the first wedding dress I tried on and I immediately fell in love, but kept trying dresses on. That night I went home and was googling the dress on other girls to picture how it would look at my wedding, and the next day I woke up and bought the dress!”

Tell Us Your Love Story

How did you meet?

Christian and I met at a local coffee shop, where I was working at the time. He would come in and try to make small talk with me, but every time he walked through the doors I would get so nervous! I actually remember the first time I saw him, my heart stopped. He eventually asked if I wanted to grab coffee with him and the date was supposed to be just about an hour, but before we knew it we were there for over three hours. We just completed connected!

How did he put a ring on it?

Christian works in social media and creates Youtube videos about Real Estate. He was shooting a video with a local videographer, Destyn Humann, and Destyn mentioned to me that he was working on a video for The Barn At Aspen Acres, and asked if I would model for the video. During filming, Christian grabbed my hand and before I knew it, he was down on one knee proposing!

Where did you draw inspiration from?

We got married at the same place where we got engaged so we took a lot of inspiration from our venue. I really love the simplicity and classic wedding look, and I believe our wedding achieved that.

What made the wedding personal to you?

The wedding was personal to me in many ways. I borrowed my best friend’s veil that she actually wore two years ago for her wedding. My grandmother gave me a bracelet that has my name, a diamond from my grandfather’s wedding ring, and my grandfather’s name engraved on the inside. My grandfather passed away ten years ago with cancer so it was special that he was able to still make my day. The necklace that I wore, I received from Christian just a month into dating and I have never taken it off. He got me matching earrings for the day of the wedding. I felt like everything really came together.

What were you most nervous or excited about?

Honestly, I was not nervous at all! I am so thankful for that because I had so much peace about the day.

I was super excited about the cake and I really enjoyed smashing it in Christian’s face!

Now, the most important part – the Dress!

Tell us about your dress?

I absolutely loved my dress! The VALERIA gown was actually the first wedding dress I tried on and I immediately fell in love, but kept trying dresses on. That night I went home and was googling the dress on other girls to picture how it would look at my wedding, and the next day I woke up and bought the dress!

What stockist did you get it from?

Rhylan Lang Bridal Salon

What was your most memorable moment from your day?

The most memorable moment from my wedding day was probably our first dance. We were so mindful and in the moment that I can’t think about it without reliving the feelings I had in that exact moment.
