After being paired up for a university group assignment, it became clear that Lexie and James’ love story was simply fate.
Lexie’s favourite thing about our MONTGOMERY gown was the subtle intricacy of its detailing. Of her MONTGOMERY gown, Lexie said: “I wore the MONTGOMERY gown and had the seamstress add sleeves to add a distinct element to my bridal style. Everything about this dress was amazing – it was comfortable, unique, and detailed without being overwhelming.”

Tell Us Your Love Story
How did you meet?
We met as partners in an assigned group for class at the University of Central Florida – a group neither one of us was particularly thrilled about at first. After coming to the realization that we were both interns at the same company as well, we hit it off. What started out as group meetings for class quickly turned into coffee breaks and lunches at work. The group project ended but we continued making excuses to see each other until we both finally said “I think we’re dating?!”.
How did he put a ring on it?
James popped the question at the beginning of a family beach vacation last year. I had dropped some (not so subtle) hints that this would be the perfect time to get engaged. Wanting to keep the surprise, James said due to COVID he was unable to get a ring in time – and I believed him! All the while, James was planning to propose on Anna Maria Island Beach, a place that my family vacationed every year growing up, and had not only my family present but his sisters and Aunt as well. It was perfect in every way, making sure our loved ones were there to celebrate.
Where did you draw inspiration from?
I really love soft, simple, and neutral designs for home decor, so I drew on that for wedding inspiration. We settled on lots of eucalyptus for florals, and an ivory and green colour scheme with metallic accents
What made the wedding personal to you?
We wanted the wedding to be a reflection of both of us, so we tried to add touches of things we both liked wherever we could, from the food to the music to the invitations.
What were you most nervous or excited about?
We were so excited about actually being married! We had waited for this day for so long, and at the end of the day we knew that our marriage was the most important part – everything else was just icing on the cake.
Now, the most important part – the Dress!
Tell us about your dress?
I wore the MONTGOMERY gown and had the seamstress add sleeves to add a distinct element to my bridal style. Everything about this dress was amazing – it was comfortable, unique, and detailed without being overwhelming.
What stockist did you get it from?
Solutions Bridal in Orlando Florida. They really listened to what I wanted, and suggested adding sleeves, and I’m so glad they did because it was perfect!
What was your most memorable moment from your day?
The most memorable part of the day was our first look! It was so amazing to get to see each other and have those few quiet moments prior to starting the ceremony. It was such a sweet time and got out the jitters, so all that was left was excitement and joy walking down the aisle.
