Sarah & Sean’s wedding ceremony was a beautiful springtime vision of pastel colors and bright florals, and we’re so happy that our Isolde gown got an invite to the party.
Sarah just knew she was going to wear our ISOLDE gown for her wedding day, even before she had the chance to try it on! Of her ISOLDE gown, Sarah said: ” I actually saw the ISOLDE gown on Instagram! The bridal boutique that I had an appointment with posted a story featuring the gown. As soon as I saw ISOLDE, I instantly fell in love. Seriously, it was unlike anything I had ever seen. The lace details are gorgeous, and the back is a show stopper. It was the only dress I thought about for weeks, and I hadn’t even tried it on yet!”

Tell Us Your Love Story
How did you meet?
Sean and I met in Charleston, SC during a night out on our first, and only, 90’s themed Bar Crawl in September 2016. The details leading up to the moment I met him might be a little fuzzy, but running into him (literally!) on King Street en route to our favorite bar is still fresh in my mind. While our friends danced, Sean and I spent the rest of the night sat in a corner of the bar getting to know each other. Since that night, there hasn’t been a day that has gone by where we haven’t talked to each other!
How did he put a ring on it?
Sean and I had been dating for 2 and a half years long distance, and we had just moved in together with our two cats and new puppy! Sean proposed at our favorite place to hide away in Charleston, a quiet park just outside of the city with a beautiful view of the harbor. He surprised me by putting the ring on our dog’s harness and while posing for a picture, he knelt down and popped the question. He surprised me even more when he made sure that both of our families were there to witness the proposal as well!
Where did you draw inspiration from?
Our venue was nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina which inspired a romantic bohemian organic garden vibe for our wedding. We decided to go with a Spring wedding because I love the soft pastels and bright flowers that come with the season. What I loved most about our venue was the ease of access between the indoor and outdoor spaces. Our ceremony spot had floor to ceiling windows that opened up to spectacular view of lush mountains, and we styled the space with seasonal flowers in soft colors. I had help from my amazing planner and vendors to achieve the vision perfectly.
What made the wedding personal to you?
Like many other people around the world who had not seen loved ones in quite some time, we were most excited to be able to finally celebrate alongside friends and family. It was so special knowing that both of our extended families were finally getting to meet for the first time. I knew they would get along fantastically and I couldn’t wait for them to make those connections!
What were you most nervous or excited about?
While I was quite nervous leading up to the wedding, I was nothing but calm on the actual day! Anytime I had a free moment between hair or make up touch ups, I was peaking into the venue and watching the vendors set up and getting more and more excited with every glance! Instead of a first look, Sean and I decided to do a first touch, and any nerves that I was feeling quickly vanished when I got to talk to Sean during the first touch. Sean made a point to say that during that day while getting ready that seemed like the longest we have gone without getting to talk to each other or check in. It felt so relaxing in that moment with him to be able to have a conversation just him and I before all the craziness of the rest of the day that followed!
Now, the most important part – the Dress!
Tell us about your dress?
I actually saw the ISOLDE gown on Instagram! The bridal boutique that I had an appointment with posted a story featuring the gown. As soon as I saw ISOLDE, I instantly fell in love. Seriously, it was unlike anything I had ever seen. The lace details are gorgeous and the back is a show stopper. It was the only dress I thought about for weeks, and I hadn’t even tried it on yet! As soon as I got the opportunity to try it on I knew instantly it was what I wanted. Every dress I tried on after, I was comparing to ISOLDE and nothing measured up. Even after I took the dress to alterations, I fell in love every time I put it on again. The tailor even told me that they left my dress out on the mannequin for display because they loved it so much and they made a point to say so many other people who came in for their fittings commented on how beautiful it was!
What stockist did you get it from?
Gilded Bridal, NC
What was your most memorable moment from your day?
The most memorable moment for me was seeing Sean when I walked down the aisle with my dad by my side. I didn’t believe it when people told me, but when I was walking down the aisle I didn’t take notice of anyone else in the room. Just him. The absolute joy of the reception was amazing as well. Getting on that dance floor and singing along to all of our favorite songs with all of our friends and family was one of the best feelings, and we didn’t want our night to end!
