Tell Us Your Love Story
How did you meet?
Zahi and I met at my cousin’s wedding in Lebanon. He was the best man and I was there alone and didn’t know anyone besides the bride. We met on the dance floor and then we spoke for a long time, only to realize that although we were in Lebanon, we both actually lived in Dubai. It was such a big coincidence! Zahi and I spoke for about a month via text as I was traveling through Europe and once I got back to Dubai, Zahi and I went on our first date!
How did he put a ring on it?
Zahi took me to an island that I had been wanting to visit for a while in Abu Dhabi. He had told me that he spoke to a manager and the manager would like for me to do a photoshoot to promote the island. I was ecstatic as this would be a great collaboration for me and my travel blog, Trimmed & Travelled! During the photoshoot, the photographer told me to keep my back to the camera and stare at the ocean for one of the photos. When I turned around, to my surprise, Zahi was on one knee! After a definite ‘yes’, we took a walk down the beach and went back to our villa where the pool was filled with red roses and a beautiful dinner was set up inside. To this day I still cannot believe how he pulled it off, it was pure magic!

Where did you draw inspiration from?
I drew a lot of inspiration from Pinterest to be completely honest. I wanted the whole wedding to be timeless, just like my dress. I have quite simplistic taste and wanted my wedding to show that part of me – lots of greenery, white roses and candles to give everything life and make it all feel like there was a little bit of magic.
What made the wedding personal to you?
I know a guest list of 100 is a lot of guests, but in Lebanon 100 is considered to be very small! To me, that is what made my wedding so personal. We invited our best friends and closest family members to celebrate with us, and that made our wedding day that much more special and personal.
What were you most nervous or excited about?
I was so excited about the whole day to the point that I could barely sleep the night before! I was excited to see Zahi and our friends, and just celebrate and dance the night away. It truly was one of the best days of our life!

Now, the most important part – the Dress!
Tell us about your dress?

What was your most memorable moment from your day?
The most memorable moment for me was Zahi and I’s first dance! I was so absorbed in the moment and it really felt special to me knowing that the first dance was our beginning.
