Their wedding at the Shoreby Club in Ohio was a Pinterest-worthy blend of timeless elegance, with Lake Erie as the perfect backdrop.

Tell Us Your Love Story
How did you meet?
Corynn and I both went to Miami University and our lives collided during my last semester in 2015. We met at a Club Football house party. I noticed Corynn immediately and couldn’t keep my eyes off her. I hovered around Corynn for a while, positioning myself in her line of sight at all times. When I overheard Corynn mention she was from Cleveland (I am a Cleveland sports fanatic, as is Corynn), I had my “in”. I butted into her conversation with another party-goer and we talked for the rest of the night. I was most definitely smitten. While I had butterflies when I met Corynn, I goofed, and never asked for her phone number; however, I did some quality detective work on Facebook and messaged Corynn, asking when I could see her again.
Shortly, we had our first dinner date and a couple days later, we went golfing at a driving range. When she piped her first shot long and down the middle, I was hooked, like my golf shot. At the range, Corynn developed a small blister on her finger and I tended to her crippling injury with a perfectly placed Band-Aid that I found in my golf bag. I knew at this moment that I always wanted to take care of Corynn, but she’s proved to do more for me than I could have ever imagined.
After 6 years of long distance we reunited in Washington State and lived only 90 minutes apart but it was there we knew this was going to be forever.
How Did He Put A Ring On It?
Ryan surprised me with a stop at my favorite hidden gem in Cleveland on our way to a dinner reservation. The proposal was beautiful on the private beach with our families hidden in the background.
Where did you draw inspiration from?
We Clevelanders love lakeside living and take advantage of it any chance we get. Therefore, we wanted the lake to be the main focal point of the venue and did not want decor to be a distraction. We drew inspiration from classic weddings with a focus on chic, time-honored design.
What made the wedding personal to you?
We recited short traditional vows during our ceremony. Immediately after the ceremony, we shared an intimate moment in Shoreby’s library to read our private vows to one another.
What were you most nervous or excited about?
I am uncomfortable when all eyes are on me so walking down the aisle was nerve wracking. My dad eased my nerves before walking out, reminding me of my past in golf tournaments by simply saying, “CK, it’s just like the first tee.” I was very excited for Ryan to see me walk down the aisle as we did not do a first look beforehand.

What was your most memorable moment from your day?
The sun set perfectly over the lake as our loved ones shared toasts and speeches. It was breathtaking and we were able to sneak away afterwards for a few golden hour shots.
