From high school sweethearts to a surprise backyard proposal with a “Marry me” sign and rose petals, this couple’s journey culminated in a dreamy wedding on 09/16/2023 at The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. As they tied the knot surrounded by friends and family, including Luna, their wedding was a perfect blend of timeless romance and playful moments that captured the essence of their unique love story.
Of her CARMEL gown, Natalie said: “Truly the second I put this dress on, I knew it was the one. I thought that I would have had to travel to a bunch of different cities to find a dress because I am pretty picky, but I found this dress the first weekend I went shopping. I immediately fell in love with the square neckline, corset bodice, and delicate lace and sparkle details. I loved how fitted it was but still so comfortable. The dress was truly “me” and I really felt like a princess!”

Tell Us Your Love Story
How did you meet?
Michael and I met in high school in Las Vegas where we are from when we were 15 and 17. We ran on the track team together, but Michael was 2 grades older and we didn’t talk much. I always admired his long curly hair and athleticism. We both moved away from Las Vegas for college and grad school, Michael went to Law School and I went to Physical Therapy school, but in 2019, we got reconnected through mutual friends while playing indoor soccer. Michael requested to follow me on instagram and sent me a DM and the rest is history!
How Did He Put A Ring On It?
Michael and I were going on a trip to Italy for our close friend’s wedding in May of 2021. The night before we left, Michael completely surprised me with a romantic backyard setup with a light up “Marry me” sign, candle and rose petal walkway, and our golden retriever Luna dressed up in a flower collar. He had my parents there in hiding, and I started bawling the second I saw my mom. It was very private and special, and then we got to celebrate while traveling around Italy for 2 weeks with our best friends!
Where did you draw inspiration from?
When we chose our venue, it had such a beautiful ceremony space with a built in arch and a desert background that I knew I wanted to feature that spot and make it the centerpiece for our photos. I always knew I wanted a neutral and timeless color pallette for the wedding. I also knew I wanted a giant floral arch, and our florist blew it away! We chose white florals with greenery that I think had a beautiful contrast to the desert landscape. We wanted a timeless bridal party look which led us to the classic tuxedos and champagne dresses.
What made the wedding personal to you?
Michael did not want to do a first look and I did, so we compromised by doing a “first touch”, where we read our personal vows back-to-back before the ceremony. It was so special to say these privately and doing it before the ceremony took away a bunch of the nerves. Our golden retriever Luna was wandering around us during this time as well which made us so happy because we love her so much. It is a moment that will forever stand out to me about the day! In 2020, I lost my brother to cancer, so a few other things that made it personal were how we honored him, as him being gone was a huge missing piece of the day. My cousin Missy officiated our wedding. I was a flower girl in her wedding and we have always been a close family, so it was special to have someone who knows us so well to marry us. I walked down the aisle to mine and Michael’s favorite Taylor Swift song- Lover (instrumental version). These are a few things that made it personal to me!
What were you most nervous or excited about?
I was most nervous for all of the attention and eyes on me, but the second I saw Michael at the altar, it truly was like it was only the two of us. I will never forget his face as I was walking down the aisle. I was most excited for the reception dance party! We had so many friends and family members from throughout our lives travel in for the weekend and we were so happy to spend time with them. Also, the DJ knew that I am a huge Taylor Swift fan, and I knew he would be playing her songs all night. Michael and I also took professional dance lessons for our first dance, so we were nervous but also excited for this part to surprise our guests with the dance.
Now, the most important part – the Dress!
Tell us about your dress?
I got the Tara Lauren Carmel dress in Ivory! Truly the second I put this dress on, I knew it was the one. The dress was truly “me” and I really felt like a princess!
What stockist did you get it from?
Danyelle at Grey Pearl Bridal in Las Vegas!
What was your most memorable moment from your day?
The most memorable part for me was how surrounded by love we felt. It was an indescribable feeling to have had so many people there to celebrate with us. We both had the biggest smiles on our faces the whole day and we were so happy to start our married life together.
