Bianca & Christopher’s Wedding

Embark on the extraordinary journey of our radiant bride, Bianca, and her charming groom, Christopher. From their serendipitous Bumble connection to a uniquely crafted first date, blending wine bars and arcade adventures, their love story unfolded like a modern fairy tale. The magic culminated at The Cloth Mill at Eno River, where Bianca, adorned in our gown featuring a distinctive 3D floral design from Gilded Bridal

Of her MARINA gown, Bianca said: “Oh my beautiful dress, I loved it so much! When I first tried it on, I was stunned at the details and uniqueness with the 3D floral design. I immediately fell in love! My wedding dress was the perfect combination of romantic, modern, and sleek. It had everything a Bride could want- a long bridal train, an elegant neckline, and open back garnished in 3D floral design. It was so beautiful and I equally felt just as beautiful wearing it.

Tell Us Your Love Story

How did you meet?

After swiping right, we agreed to meet at Clouds Brewing at Brightleaf Square in Downtown Durham, NC. The funniest part about our first date was our “romantically awkward” walk towards each other down Brightleaf’s long brick walkway. It can only be described as a scene from a romantic comedy — not wanting to stare too deeply into each other’s eyes but also incredibly excited that we weren’t being catfished. This was the best date I’ve ever had. It wasn’t your average dinner and drinks. He had another destination planned after dinner just when I thought the date was over. We headed to a wine bar for drinks and more good conversation, then he surprised me again with another destination, an arcade bar! We had so much fun Mario Kart racing and Mortal Kombat fighting that I really didn’t want the date to end. The rest is history!

How Did He Put A Ring On It?

On June 13th, 2021 after 2 years of dating, Christopher organized a very convincing decoy date. He told me we were going to take pictures in Downtown Durham, which became our favorite place to take long walks during COVID, and then to a new restaurant in Raleigh because he knows I’m a foodie! I was confused when we stopped at his apartment on our way to Raleigh, but he told me he had forgotten my gift. Little did I know, he had a beautiful proposal completely decked out his apartment (with the help of friends) with balloons hanging our favorite photos, candles, and a backdrop with a sign that beautifully stated “Bianca, Will You Marry Me?”

Where did you draw inspiration from?

I drew my inspiration from many pins on Pinterest! I wanted a fusion of romanticism, moodiness, and modern all at the same time.

What made the wedding personal to you?

Writing my own personal vows really made our wedding feel intimate and more personal to me. I loved that we decided to let our family and friends enter into our love story and feel the emotions of not only that day, but also the love we found in each other.

What were you most nervous or excited about?

I was most nervous about being the center of attention! I hate it. I equally hate public speaking as well. So, being the Bride and the star of the show gave me a lot of anxiety. I kept seeing, in my mind, people just staring at me every time I would think about our wedding day leading up. I forgot that those staring eyes are the people who love us the most, so on my wedding day it wasn’t as nerve wrecking as I had thought!

Now, the most important part – the Dress!

Tell us about your dress?

Oh my beautiful dress, I loved it so much!

What stockist did you get it from?

Gilded Bridal in Raleigh, NC! I had a wonderful experience. It was my last bridal boutique after searching for months! I guess I saved the best for last!

What was your most memorable moment from your day?

Wow, what a hard question! The most memorable moment from my wedding day was simply the feeling! I felt so much love and warmth from our close family and friends. There was constant laughter and so much positivity for our union. Our guests kept coming up to us and complementing the energy in the room and our love for one another as a couple. It was so touching to hear from the people who mean the most to us. I also thoroughly enjoyed seeing our favorite people have the best time on the dance floor!
